Montessoridays™ Screwdriver Board Set 18-in-1

🔧 A little workshop with real things to figure out.

A screw to turn, a key to try and a drawer waiting for the tools—the Montessoridays™ Screwdriver Board Set 18-in-1 gives curious hands a practical place to explore. The pine-wood box brings together sixteen screws in seven styles, three working locks and a set of tools, inviting children to discover how different fittings open, close and connect.

Montessoridays™ Screwdriver Board Set 18-in-1 — product details 1

🪛 Start with one tool and one fitting.

Show your child how to line up the tool with a suitable screw and turn it slowly. Let them feel what changes as it loosens or tightens. The double-ended screwdriver, L-shaped hex spanner and spanner offer different movements to explore, so introduce them gradually rather than handing over every challenge at once.

🔐 Three locks bring three small puzzles.

A combination lock, key lock and antique-style lock each invite a different approach. The combination lock's default code is 000; the key lock comes with two keys, and the antique lock has its own key. Demonstrate one opening sequence and let your child return to it, giving time to compare and try again.

🧲 The workshop has a place to put things away.

The magnetic lid and pull-out drawer make storage part of the activity. After a session, match tools with their places and gather the loose screws and keys together. That small finishing routine gives the work a clear ending and helps make the next session ready to begin.

💛 Celebrate the movement they worked out.

An opened lock or a screw they managed to turn can bring a wonderfully serious little expression of pride. Stay alongside, help when a fitting needs it and let your child explain what they discovered. Recommended for ages three and up, the set includes real tools and loose small parts, so adult-supervised play and careful storage are essential.

Why Buy Montessori?

🪛 A real fitting gives the movement purpose.

Turning a screw changes its position. The child can connect the hand movement with a visible mechanical result. Pick one screw style and show a slow first turn, then let your child try. A tool with a clear job makes careful movement meaningful. There is satisfaction in noticing which tool fits and seeing their own effort change the screw's position.

🧩 Compare which tool fits which task.

Different screw styles invite close looking and a practical choice. Begin with a suitable match, then explore another fitting. Keys and a combination lock offer small sequences to work through. A slow demonstration gives the child a reference to return to.

🌱 Make room for a self-directed attempt.

Allow time to try before stepping in. A completed fitting can be satisfying because the child participated in the work. Returning tools, screws and keys to storage makes tidying part of the task rather than an unrelated demand. Try placing two different tools beside one fitting and asking which could fit. Comparing the tip and screw head makes tool choice part of the work. Stay nearby to guide handling while leaving the successful match and careful turning to your child.

Why Kids Love It?

🔧 It feels like having a little workshop.

Tools, fittings and locks give them purposeful things to operate. These little jobs feel wonderfully grown-up. Finding the fitting tool and making a screw turn gives them a visible result they can bring you over to inspect.

🔐 Opening a lock brings a small surprise.

A key or a sequence changes something that was closed into something that opens. The storage features add another practical action to explore with a grown-up.

💛 'I opened it myself!'

An achieved movement gives them something concrete to proudly show you. There is a tiny workshop story in finding the right tool, turning a fitting and putting the equipment away. The drawer gives the finished job an ending: their tools have a place, ready for the next supervised repair session.

Perfect toy for busy minds and hands

My 2-year-old granddaughter LOVES this. The locks will be used later, but she will sit transfixed by this "puzzle" for quite a while. She prefers to do things herself, and she gets a great sense of accomplishment when she can get them all in and out again. It's made really well and will last generations.

Good Busy box

This busy box is good quality with all real metal locks and solid wood box. Fun for kids to figure out. Helps build fine motor skills and teaches them real life skills they will need in the near future. So many different nuts and bolts and lock styles. Pretty good price given it’s not just pieces of plastic like most busy boards.

Great concept!

Interesting concept. Lots of different screws and bolts and locks to keep a little one interested. Very small and compact and has an awesome storage spot to keep your screwdriver and things you take on and off. My son has lots of fun playing with it. Very easy to play with. Made of wood and real metal.

Engaging toy that builds fine motor skills

This toy has been great for our three year old. He loves using the different screwdrivers and tools, and it keeps him focused for a surprisingly long time. The lock and key add another fun element. It is well made and sturdy enough to handle rough toddler play.

Helps Kids Build Important Skills

The Montessori Screwdriver Board Set is exactly as advertised and a fantastic tool for helping kids develop fine motor skills that will definitely come in handy later on. I love that the set is compact and thoughtfully designed with a built-in storage area for the tools, making cleanup easy. It includes almost everything needed for kids to practice and learn.
However, I do have two complaints. First, it would have been nice if a flathead screwdriver had been included, since one of the screws in the set actually requires one. Second, one of the screws seems to have an issue with the threading and won’t screw in properly, which is a bit frustrating.
Overall, though, it’s a great learning toy that keeps kids engaged while helping them build important skills.

Perfect for Fine Motor and Practical Life Work

I was so pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and well-made this is! As a former Montessori Children’s House teacher, I’m now in the process of collecting key Montessori pieces for our new homeschool space. I had a similar box in my classroom and knew I wanted one for home. What I love most is that this combines “opening and closing” work with fine motor skill-building and real tool practice. Because there are several types of screws and locks, I plan to introduce them gradually...starting with the Phillips head screws and screwdriver, along with one lock and key. As my 4.5-year-old masters each tool, I’ll rotate in new elements. Giving access to the entire set at once might feel overwhelming, so this phased approach works best for us.
The only minor issue was that one of the blue locks had a seam that split slightly upon opening. It still works for now, but I’m unsure of its long-term durability. Overall, this is a high-quality, purposeful material I’m happy to include in our homeschool environment!

Love it

Perfect for real life practice using different tools. Both the 4 yr old and 2 yr enjoy playing with it. The combination lock can be programmed to a personal code, however I admit, I messed it up. Didn’t contact customer service because they didn’t really care about that lock anyway. They like the keys.

This is a wonderful fine motor skills training tool

I really can't say enough good things about this Montessori wooden board set. It's more of a wooden box and frame to be honest with a TON of interactive fine motor options such as screw holes, washers, nuts, bolts, locks, keys, and even comes with the little tools you need to use all the features.
Pros-
- Great size, this is small enough to be tossed in a bag to travel with, but big enough that it's not impossible to work with all the small pieces.
- It has a compartment to store all the little parts
- The diversity of fine motor tasks you can work on with this is ASTOUNDING, making this an extremely functional tool for building fine motor.
- It is appropriate for any one at any age so long as they have a deficit to target, even I was able to see areas where I may need more skill improvement and I'm 36!

Holds attention well

We have had this for several weeks and my 5 year old likes it. There are a lot of interesting pieces to it, and he likes that he can explore the toy without it feeling like it's for a little kid. The natural wood and regular screws make it feel like it's for a big boy. My only complaint is that multiple screws require a phillips screwdriver, but only a flathead screwdriver was provided, and it was too large to accommodate those screws. It's not a huge deal since we have other screwdrivers, but it would be nice for it to include all the correct tools. There are no screws that require a flathead driver, so it seems like just a simple error.
My favorite piece is the old-fashioned looking key and lock. This is both fun and educational for the kids to play with!

Great set for the littles

This is a fun set for little ones working on their hand coordination and dexterity. My grandson, who is almost 3 loves playing with this set. He really concentrates on the task of getting the screws into the holes. He uses the provided tools to tighten them in, also. The smaller pieces could be a choking hazard for little ones still exploring by putting things into their mouths, though.
This is a good quality little set and provides hours of fun for little ones who are curious about tools and enjoy trying to assemble things on their own. The hinge works perfectly for the little storage compartment. The provided tools all work well. The latches on the sides and the locks work great, too.

Cute and Practical Learning Toy

This screwdriver board set is super cute and looks really useful for teaching life skills. I’m waiting for my baby to get a little older, but I can already tell it’s going to be great for building fine motor skills and keeping him engaged. A simple, practical, and fun addition to a preschooler’s toy collection.
