Montessoridays™ Dinosaur Talking Pen & Phonics Cards

This talking flashcard kit with the dinosaur reader has been a fantastic tool for practicing English vocabulary and phonics. The reader is durable, easy for small hands to hold, and plays words with very clear sound and pronunciation. We loved the wide variety of cards included, which come organized by topic with binder rings so they don't get lost, plus the stickers that make activities much more interactive. Also, since it's rechargeable, it's super convenient for on-the-go use. It has worked great for keeping focus and encouraging independent learning. Highly recommended for its quality and educational value!

This talking dinosaur pen is fun and easy to use. My 2-year-old loves it and has been able to repeat the words easily, which makes it a great way to encourage learning through play without screens. I was also pleasantly surprised that the dinosaur pen works on the stickers included in the flash cards, not just on the cards themselves. It adds another fun way for kids to interact with the toy. Overall, a fun and engaging educational toy that my son really enjoys

This little dinosaur talking pen set is adorable and genuinely fun for toddlers! The dinosaur itself is easy for little hands to hold, and I love that it works with so many different phonics and learning cards. It turns what could feel like a lesson into something interactive, colorful, and much more exciting. My daughter started tapping the cards with the dinosaur and got so excited when it responded back to her. She kept going from card to card just to hear what it would say next, and it held her attention way longer than I expected! It’s especially nice because she feels like she’s playing, but she’s still practicing sounds, words, and recognition at the same time. It’s a really sweet learning toy for independent play or sitting together and going through the cards as a little activity. The dinosaur makes it extra fun, and I love how much interaction you get from such a simple setup.

THIS TOY IS AWESOME! It's perfect for little ones who are just learning to read, especially kids who need a little extra encouragement to practice. My daughter struggles with blended sounds, and this dinosaur toy paired with the flashcards has really gotten her excited about making an effort with reading. Seeing her get excited to practice instead of feeling frustrated has been such a plus! Nearly everything on the flashcards is interactive. The dinosaur reads the individual sound at the top of the card and even reads the example sentence at the bottom, which I think is a great feature for helping kids connect sounds with words and understand how they're used. The set comes with several flashcards in different categories, along with stickers that can be placed on various objects around the house. Kids can then take the dinosaur toy to each sticker and hear the name of the item. I think this feature is especially great for younger children who are still building vocabulary and learning to associate words with the objects around them. One thing I really appreciate is that this isn't just a toy for one specific age or learning stage. The flashcards are great for children working on early reading skills, while the stickers and word association activities can be fun for younger kids, too. With several kiddos in our house at different ages, I love finding educational toys that more than one child can enjoy. Overall, this is a fun, interactive learning tool that makes practicing sounds and words feel more like play than work. Definitely a hit in our house! I've even sent a demo video, and link, recommending this toy to the teachers at my child's Elementary School.

This is such an adorable little talking dinosaur toy! I got this for my young nieces, ages 2 and 3, and I love finding educational toys that make learning fun while encouraging them to spend less time in front of the TV or tablet. This one has been a great way to keep my niece engaged, whether she's exploring the flashcards or walking around the house identifying familiar objects. The set combines early learning with interactive play, covering letters, numbers, animals, vehicles, foods, fruits, vegetables, colors, clothing, nature, people, jobs, emotions, sight words, and more. It includes 74 double-sided educational cards featuring over 500 sight words and 148 interactive sentences, giving little ones plenty of opportunities to practice pronunciation, build vocabulary, recognize everyday objects, and learn how words are used in simple sentences. One of my favorite features is the set of 10 sticker sheets with 150 everyday words. You can place the stickers on familiar objects around the house, then let the kids touch them with the talking pen to hear the word and repeat it. I love this idea because it helps connect what they're learning through the toy with things they see in their everyday environment. It's a fun way to encourage recognition, repetition, and independent exploration. The sensor is also impressively sensitive. The kids don't have to press hard or force the pen against the cards to get a response, which makes the toy easier for little hands to use. The dinosaur itself is rechargeable, so there's no need to keep buying replacement batteries, which is another nice bonus. The dinosaur is on the smaller side, but honestly, I don't think that matters much for toddlers. It's cute, easy to handle, and the interactive features are what make it fun. My niece enjoys going around identifying objects and working through the different flashcards, and I appreciate having an activity that encourages curiosity and learning without relying on a screen. Overall, this is a fun, engaging educational toy for toddlers and young children. It combines early literacy, vocabulary building, pronunciation practice, and everyday object recognition in a playful format that encourages kids to participate rather than just watch. Between the adorable dinosaur design, generous variety of cards, interactive stickers, and rechargeable functionality, it's a thoughtful learning toy and a great gift for little ones!

I got this for my nephew, who is in pre-K so this is perfect. Very cute and interactive which helps him stay engaged. Comes with tons of stickers and my favorite feature is the fact that it doesn’t need batteries - you can just use a phone charger.

This is such an adorable and clever little learning toy! The dinosaur design is absolutely precious, and the bright green colour and friendly appearance make it especially appealing to young children. It’s a fun and interactive way to introduce toddlers to new words, sounds, and early language skills while keeping them entertained. I really like the concept of the talking flash cards. They’re colourful, filled with cute illustrations, and cover a nice variety of everyday objects, animals, and vocabulary. The interactive reader makes learning more engaging by allowing children to hear words pronounced aloud rather than simply looking at pictures. It’s a wonderful way to encourage curiosity, vocabulary development, and independent learning. Another feature I appreciate is the rechargeable design, which eliminates the hassle of constantly replacing batteries. The dinosaur is also a convenient size for little hands, and the flash cards are easy to organize and store. Pros: ✅ Absolutely adorable dinosaur design ✅ Bright, colourful, and engaging illustrations ✅ Encourages vocabulary development and word recognition ✅ Interactive audio makes learning more entertaining ✅ Great for encouraging independent learning ✅ Rechargeable, so no disposable batteries are needed ✅ Fun and educational for toddlers and preschoolers Cons: ❌ Younger toddlers may need help handling and organizing the cards Overall: This is a charming little educational toy that combines learning and play in a really enjoyable way. I especially love that it encourages children to explore language at their own pace while making the experience feel like a game rather than a lesson. It’s cute, practical, and a lovely addition to any toddler’s collection of educational toys. Definitely a wonderful gift idea for curious little learners!

This has been really helpful for my 4-year-old, who needs speech therapy and has trouble pronouncing some words because she is tongue-tied. I like that it doesn’t feel like sitting down and doing “work” with her. She can scan the pictures, hear the word pronounced clearly, and practice saying it back at her own pace. The recording feature is especially useful because she can hear herself and compare it to the pronunciation from the toy. I also really like that it is screen-free and simple enough for her to use without constantly needing help from me. The cards are easy to organize with the binder rings, and the rechargeable design makes it convenient to keep using at home or take with us. At $40, it is not the cheapest learning toy, but considering how much we can use it for speech practice, vocabulary, and independent learning, I think the value for money is good. It has been a really nice extra tool to use alongside speech therapy, and she actually enjoys using it!

These dinosaur talking flash cards are such a fun and engaging learning tool for little ones! I love that they combine dinosaurs with speech and phonics practice because it makes learning feel more like play than work. The talking feature helps children hear the words spoken aloud with an American accent, which is great for practicing pronunciation and building vocabulary. I also appreciate that these are designed with nonverbal children, autistic kids, and other learners who may benefit from extra support in mind. The rechargeable design is convenient, and the included stickers add another fun element to keep kids interested. This would make a wonderful addition to a home learning routine or speech therapy activities, especially for children who love dinosaurs. A thoughtful educational toy that encourages curiosity, communication, and independence!

I ordered this for my grandson and am very blown away by the quality. He is having SO much fun with it and is learning so much! The package came with a variety of cards and stickers which you place the bottom of the dinosaur toy on and it reads the words/ objects or emotions out loud. You can also record the words yourself and the child can listen to both versions. It also comes with a charger for the dinosaur! And rings to keep the cards together in different categories. Everything is extremely well made and durable. All of the pictures are clear and the colors are vibrant. It’s very easy to use and my grandson was able to figure it out right away. It’s a super useful tool to help your children learn. My grandson is loving repeating and learning all of the words. Overall I’m SO I happy I got this. It’s absolutely worth the price!

This is such a fun way for little ones to learn! The dinosaur talking pen and flash cards make learning letters, numbers, and phonics more interactive and engaging. I love that it gives kids something hands-on to explore while helping them practise early learning skills. The dinosaur design is really cute and makes the set more appealing to young children. The flash cards offer a variety of learning opportunities, and the talking pen adds an extra element of fun that can help keep little ones interested. It’s also great to have an educational toy that doesn’t involve a screen. This would make a lovely birthday or Christmas gift for toddlers and preschoolers, especially children who enjoy dinosaurs and interactive activities. Overall, a fun educational toy that combines play and learning in a way that feels enjoyable for young kids!

The dinosaur talking pen arrived three days after ordering. Included in the kit are the dinosaur, a charging cord, cards, rings for organizing the cards, and stickers. The bottom of the dinosaur has four buttons: power, record, volume up, and volume down. The charging port is also conveniently located on the bottom. What really sets this product apart from similar talking pens is the ability to record your own sounds and words to go along with the pictures. This is an AMAZING feature because you can personalize the cards with familiar voices, words, names, or real-world examples to help connect the prerecorded words with things the individual encounters in everyday life. I ordered this for my 10-year-old nephew, who is nonverbal and has autism. His receptive language is very limited, so this kit will be a great tool for helping him learn and understand spoken words. I especially love that we can add examples from his own everyday life to the cards, making the learning experience much more relevant and meaningful to him. At only $9.99, this is an absolute STEAL! I previously paid around $35 for essentially the same type of product, and that one didn’t even have the recording feature. If you’re looking for a talking pen or a tool to help with language development, this is absolutely the one I would choose. I would definitely order it again, and I highly recommend it!

There is a lot to love with this setup. The flash cards are bright, colorful and detailed. They come with different colored rings to sort them for the training topic. The kids immediately had a fun time and were interested in trying out multiple cards. The dino is clear to understand and seems to be magic as it can figure out every different word & sentence. I had one left over pink ring and then a lot of stickers. I believe you can place the stickers around the house (on items/areas to describe) or build your own training cards. A great way to make "school" after school more fun.

This dinosaur-shaped talking pen is a fantastic screen-free tool to support speech development, vocabulary, and early language skills in young kids. The pen itself is wrapped in a soft, smooth silicone finish that feels durable and comfortable in little hands. It recharges conveniently via USB-C, so there is no need to constantly replace disposable batteries. The set offers impressive practical value, coming packed with interactive cards and stickers that feature over 500 words and 100+ sentences to explore. Kids can easily tap the pen to cards or stickers around the room to hear clear audio, making it a great independent learning tool for busy households. It provides an engaging, hands-on way for toddlers to build phonics and cognitive skills at their own pace without screen time. Overall, it's an accessible, feature-packed educational set that delivers high value for early language learning and sensory play.
