Montessoridays™ Screwdriver Tool Board

🪛 Little hands, a real task and a very proud finish.

The Montessoridays™ Screwdriver Tool Board gives curious children a place to explore the practical movements they see grown-ups use. A beech-wood board holds fourteen screws in seven styles, alongside a lock and a set of tools. Turn, compare and try again: each fitting offers a small task with a result your child can see.

🔩 Show one match before introducing the rest.

Choose a suitable tool and screw, line them up and demonstrate a slow turn. Let your child feel how the fitting responds. The dual-purpose screwdriver, wrench and L-shaped hex wrench require different approaches, so there is no need to work through all seven styles in one sitting. A familiar fitting can be worth returning to.

🔐 A key adds a different kind of challenge.

The included lock and two keys bring another movement into the activity. Help your child notice how the key enters and turns, then offer a patient second attempt. Turning a lock asks for a different adjustment from turning a screw, giving the board variety without requiring a complicated rulebook.

🧺 Choose the storage option you need.

The product comes in Tool Board and Tool Board + Storage Bag options. Both offer the core tool-board activity; select the bag option if you want the listed extra storage accessory. Gather the tools, keys and loose screws after each supervised session so the set is ready for its next little job.

💛 Stay close while they work it out.

A fitting may take a few tries, and some movements will need your help. Notice the careful effort, show a small adjustment when useful and let your child take over again. For ages three and up, this is an adult-supervised activity with tools and small parts—a chance to share practical work at a child's pace and celebrate an earned 'I did it!'

Why Buy Montessori?

🪛 Make a hand movement useful.

A screw loosens or tightens as the tool turns. The child can see why the movement matters. Rather than hurrying to finish every screw, explore one fitting together. Ask which tool could work and give time to test that choice. The board turns an everyday practical action into a small task with a clear beginning and result.

🧩 Notice the fitting before choosing.

Comparing screw styles invites attention to shape and a practical tool choice, with adult support. Positioning the tool and controlling the rotation combine looking with small hand adjustments.

🌱 Let a familiar task build confidence.

Repeating one manageable fitting gives the child a chance to become more comfortable before moving to another style. Gathering the loose pieces provides a useful ending and keeps the set together for next time. Hold back from changing tools for your child as soon as a fitting resists. Pause together and compare the shapes first. Learning to check the match before applying force makes the practical sequence more meaningful than simply getting every screw finished.

Why Kids Love It?

🔧 Tools make the activity feel purposeful.

There is something to turn and a fitting that responds. They can choose the next fitting to tackle and see what their hand is doing. A stubborn screw that finally turns can become the highlight of the whole activity.

🔐 A lock to figure out.

The key introduces a different movement and a satisfying opening moment. Seven styles provide variety as they become familiar with the tools.

💛 They can show you what their hands achieved.

A completed movement offers a clear reason for a proud smile. One stubborn-looking fitting can become the job they want to show you. When the tool lines up and the screw moves, the result belongs to a movement they made themselves—an ordinary turn with a surprisingly proud finish.

Great for young engineers

My grandson loves following his dad around helping him fix things and so this is his own little carry-on tool toy that he can use alongside his dad and help him feel like he’s really helping out

Removable nuts can be eaten by small children or people with dementia.

This item was made very well. I originally purchased this for my stepfather with advanced dementia i had the idea that since he enjoyed working on things he would tighten and loosen the nuts but unfortunately the larger black bolts reminded him of a chocolate cookie and we caught him trying to chew them up so I gave this to my 10 yr old grandson and he enjoyed it for some time perhaps it will be of help somehow in his future
Thank you this product is well made. But it wasn't a good idea for my specific situation.

Useful learning tool

Simple, good quality. Great for children to develop manual dexterity through manipulating common latches, installing and removing bolts with fingers and tools. Note that the bolts thread very cleanly without resistance which requires the child to stabilize the wrench while turning the bolt. My 5 year old son loves it and if fits in his small starter tool box.

Good for kiddos who no longer put things in their mouths

My three year old sits with this almost every day and really enjoys the different pieces to play with. It took her a few minutes the first time she played with it to figure out some of the screws and locks but once she figured it out she enjoyed it. The wood block is smooth - so no slivers! - and it’s a good size. There’s room for several different types of screws, but not so big that it doesn’t fit somewhere to be stored. Each of the screws go in smoothly and the locks are easy to latch and unlatch. The tools are a convenient size also and fit in a little slot they’ve created to store them. Two things I would change is that it has a bit more variety in the types of locks and screws AND it came with a case. A plastic bag works fine but I’m sure eventually something will catch and tear the bag, causing pieces to end up all over my house. Other than that it’s great quality, it seems to be made to last, and is pretty easy for my kiddos to use

Fun!

Purchased this to help encourage my little one with their finger dexterity. It keeps him and his older brothers occupied and away from their screens. It's something that they continually return back to. And I enjoy that it's compact and durable but, do be mindful of the loose little screws if you have small ones in the house. Overall, very happy with the set and would make a great gift if you know a little one who's interested in building/construction.

Busy time for boys and girls

I was looking to have something my little boys would play with and learn from. This little set has kept them busy and kept them coming back day after day. My daughter (7) also wanted in on the fun. The little pad lock is a nice addition.

Well Made Montessori Toy, but Limited Replay Value

I ordered this for my daughter because she kept wanting to “help” whenever I was assembling furniture or using tools. I figured this would be a good way for her to scratch that itch and safely play with something tool-related. The construction is actually very good. The wood feels solid, the pieces are well made, and everything fits together nicely. It definitely feels like a durable toy rather than something flimsy. That said, the novelty wore off fairly quickly. She was really interested in it at first and spent about 30 minutes working through all the screws, locks, and pieces. Once she had figured everything out though, she was basically done with it and hasn’t gone back to it much. Overall, it’s a well-built toy that’s great for introducing kids to simple tools and fine motor skill activities. Just be aware that once they figure it out, it may not hold their attention for long.
