Montessoridays™ Stick Drop Tower Game

🪵 Pull a stick. Hold your breath. Watch the balls.

The Montessoridays™ Stick Drop Tower Game turns one careful movement into a shared moment of suspense. A wooden tower holds coloured sticks that support six balls. Players remove sticks while trying to keep the balls from dropping, so each choice changes what supports the pieces above.

Montessoridays™ Stick Drop Tower Game — product details 1

🖐️ Build the challenge before playing it.

Set up the tower, insert the sticks and add the balls following the game instructions. Preparing the structure gives your child a chance to see how the sticks create support. Take time with the setup so the first move begins from a clear, stable arrangement.

Montessoridays™ Stick Drop Tower Game — product details 2

👀 Choose the next stick thoughtfully.

Look at the position of the balls and compare which sticks seem to support them. Pull slowly and notice whether anything shifts. A movement that looks small can make a real difference, giving the player a reason to watch carefully rather than simply remove whichever stick is closest.

Montessoridays™ Stick Drop Tower Game — product details 3

🎯 A drop changes the round, not the mood.

When a ball falls, pause to see what happened and keep the game friendly. The interesting part is learning how the arrangement responds. You can play a solo careful-removal challenge or take turns with a group, using the included die according to the supplied rules.

💛 A simple game that everyone can follow.

The set is listed for one to six players aged three and up. Choose Wooden Tower or Wooden Tower + Drawstring bag if you want the additional storage accessory. Supervise use of the sticks and balls, collect the forty-two sticks after play and make space for the inevitable request: 'Can we build the tower again?'

Why Buy Montessori?

🧩 A support structure becomes something to examine.

The child can see how the sticks hold the balls and what changes when one is removed. Taking one stick at a time makes slowing down part of the challenge. Invite your child to look before moving and notice what changes afterward. A wobble is something to investigate together, with another round always offering a fresh start.

🖐️ A controlled pull has a purpose.

Moving a stick steadily invites hand coordination and attention to the result. Players compare positions before acting, then use the movement as information.

🔄 A falling ball offers something to discuss.

Ask what shifted and consider a different choice next time without turning the game into a test. Everyone can watch a careful move, even when it is another player's turn. Look at the balls and sticks before choosing a move. Asking which stick seems to support a ball encourages your child to connect position with a possible outcome. Pull slowly, observe the change and use that new arrangement to discuss the next turn.

Why Kids Love It?

🎯 Every stick brings a little suspense.

Will the balls stay in place? The next pull gives an answer. Everyone wonders what will happen when the next stick moves. That tiny pause before a careful choice is part of the fun—and the surprise belongs to the whole table.

🌈 The colourful setup is part of the play.

Putting the sticks in helps create the challenge they are about to try. Resetting creates a fresh round with new choices.

💛 The whole table watches the tricky moves.

A careful success or a sudden drop becomes a shared reaction. A tiny pull can make the whole family lean forward to watch. Children get the pleasure of a careful move, the surprise of a shifting ball and another chance to study the tower when their turn comes around again.

Great start to “games”

3 yr old loves! Sticks are a bit cumbersome to get to stay in for a young child but he figured it out eventually. Mind the small balls for babies in your house :)

Flexible game for the family.

Played this with my granddaughter (5) and her parents. You can play by the rules as printed in the official rules, but I can think of a couple more ways to play this game: 1a. assign a colored ball to each person - first ball to drop is the winner. (1b. or last ball to drop is the winner), 2a. whoever drops the most balls wins (2b. or loses). Just decide before you start how you want to play. Teaches color matching, taking turns, and even strategy. The whole family enjoyed this.

PERFECT for Toddlers

My two and four year old love playing this with me. It’s crafted with quality. The paint is vibrant. It takes a bit of time to set up, but it teaches the kids colors and taking turns as they play. Such a great gift.

Great game with the added benefit of eye hand coordination

Purchased for a 5 year old girl. She loves this game and it has helped with her eye hand coordination. Putting the sticks in and threading them across from each other takes a bit of time for young people, but is really helpful for their skills. The game is fun and who doesn't love hearing the wooden marbles hit the bottom of the game.

Sturdy/well constructed.

Game is well constructed. Fun to play for my 3 and 6 yo granddaughters. I give it a 3 star due to it taking 15 minutes to set up between every game.

Kind of small but built with detail. 4 people could play, very entertaining. My teen granddaughter found it challenging. My youngest granddaughter figured out where the sticks go . This game offers mind & dexterity past time. Even adults find it entertaining.

Worth a look

I volunteer with an elder lady with dementia. This game is bright, uncomplicated and holds her attention. Solidly made. Small, but when rods are placed it does take up space. Perfect for myself and my elder friend. Can imagine children who are just learning colors and/or cooperative play will enjoy.

Game

I work with a 9 year old autistic child and she liked a similar game. I like how colorful this is and that it is made of wood. I also like the size of the balls over the use of marbles.

Takes time to set up definitely not for 4 &5 yr olds

The toy would be fun and great to play but it takes a long time to set up and the kids are too ansy.  They want to help and its not helpful.  However, they are only 4 & 5 so I think I will put it away until they get older.
I will say delivery of toy was very quick.
