Montessoridays™ Wooden Rainmaker Rattle
🌧️ Turn it gently and listen to the rain.
The Montessoridays™ Wooden Rainmaker Rattle lets a child watch colourful beads cascade through a translucent body while a rain-like sound follows. Turning, shaking or carefully rolling the rattle changes the movement, giving a simple sensory activity several ways to begin.
👀 Let the beads finish their journey.
An adult can turn the rainmaker slowly and pause while the beads travel. Hold it where your child can comfortably watch. The changing movement gives them something specific to follow without needing rapid or repeated demonstrations.
🖐️ Offer a movement that suits their stage.
Your child may first enjoy watching you, then reach to hold or turn the rattle with help. Support the activity according to their readiness. A gentle action is enough to produce a visible and audible response.
🎵 Listen for what changes.
A turn and a shake can sound different. Try one at a time and leave a quiet space afterwards, following the child's attention. You can describe the sound softly or simply share the moment without adding more stimulation.
💛 A small discovery for awake play together.
Recommended from six months, the rainmaker combines wooden elements with an enclosed bead chamber. Supervise use, inspect the body and ends for damage and remove it from play if anything becomes loose. Put it away after the session, ready for another unhurried turn when curiosity returns.

Bought this for my new grandson who's four months old. He was able to grasp it and it wasn't to heavy. He like looking at the movement of the tiny pieces inside. I'm sure he will get a lot of use out of it.
Christmas gift for a 3 month old - will see if that baby likes it…
My 9-month old baby simply loves this. I think it is because of the sound and sensation of the beads falling down the rattle. It is eye catching. Very lightweight and easy to handle by a baby.
Purchased for my granddaughter. I thought she would enjoy all the bright colors. No issues
It's pretty nice. My kid likes playing with it.
This is an excellent baby toy!
My 7 month old granddaughter loves this!
5 month old baby loved this. He’s now 7.5 months, still loves it.
Soothing sound
It was perfect
Loved everything about this. Got it for our great grand daughter & she to it right away. It's fun, colorful not too noisy & a teaching tool , highly recommended. Got some sweet smiles & giggles that warmedh
our hearts to watch learn & play!
My granddaughter loves this
This baby toy is simple yet mesmerizing- it keeps me entertained as an adult. The small beads inside run from end to end when you tip it through a variety of gravity-fed mechanisms. My infant son likes to chew on the soft wood ends, and I know he'll continue to enjoy this for months to come as he develops and becomes interested in more complex toys.
I purchased this as a birthday gift for one year-old set a twins. The parents loved it and the kids loved it as well. It was a hit.
My daughter enjoys the rain-like sound and watching the beads and spinners inside. The toy is just a little heavy and hard so she accidentally knocked herself pretty hard if we didn’t watch carefully. It’s a cool toy though. (Baby was 6 months at time of purchase).
Super easy for him to grab and durable.
Great gift idea, has a nice sound
My granddaughter just absolutely loves it!
This is a great toy, I only wish it were a little bit longer in length so the experience of watching everything flow through the chamber lasted longer. It's well made and has fun colors and sounds.
My 8 month old daughter loves this toy! She’s interested in toys with interesting sounds and this toy actually peaks her interest enough to want to crawl towards it. She works with physical therapy and we noticed this is the one toy that she’ll gravitate too and even distract her during tummy time.
The wooden sides are sturdy also and my daughter has enjoyed chewing on these when she’s teething.
Bought for my son with disabilities and autism. Thought it would be a good choice because it's solid and would withstand being dropped (which it has). Two big downsides are that it is REALLY shorter than I pictured so the pieces go through quickly and that the pieces go through QUICKLY rather than being slowed down at all by the three mechanisms. Almost returned it for these two reasons but kept it because it is sturdy and may be nice for a really little one someday.
My 5mo loves this toy! He’s always reaching out for it, grabbing it, and staring at it. If he hears it he immediately starts looking for it
It is a little heavy, but well made Aunts fun for the Leila ones
Bought for my 8 month old grandson. Would like it to be a little bigger he loses interest quickly with toy
Good quality rattle. Colorful details attract attention of my little one. I keep it in the car in case my baby starts crying and it calms him down.
Got this when my girl was 7/8mo old and it’s great. The noise from the beads inside keeps her entertained and encourages supine/prone wrist movements for development.
It rattles and rolls, granddaughter loves that!!
He is so curious with this he loves watching it he has figured out to keep turning it over.it will keep him busy for quit some time
My baby loved the colors and sounds the rain makes keeps her occupied also it’s not heavy so if it were on her head it won’t hurt her. Thank you!
My grandson, who is 9 months, loved this. Well made.
