Start with a few figures rather than the whole collection. A rocket might need a destination, an animal might be looking for a friend or a flower might be the first part of a garden. Let your child choose the placement and build the story from there.
💬 Show the story as well as telling it.
Moving a figure offers a way to answer without finding every word. You can name a character, make a sound or ask a simple open question. Follow the child's idea instead of requiring the scene to match an adult plan.
🧩 Rearrange the world whenever the story changes.
The felt and flannel format uses hook-and-loop dots to hold the pieces in place. A moved character can change the action, and a familiar theme can support a completely different tale on the next visit.

My granddaughter really enjoy the Zoo. She learn all the animals names, she is 1 year and 1/2, and love to play with it
Bought this for my son who turned 2. It's been fun playing with him and going over animal sounds and animal names. It's also great that he likes playing with this by himself so I can do other things too. I don't have to worry about him chocking on anything. The velcro does lose it's stickiness after awhile, but my son is also pretty rough sometimes slapping the pieces on.

I’m a former preschool teacher. I was thrilled to see my little 2 year old granddaughters enjoy this so much. Many language building opportunities: animal names, categorization (all the brown animals) spatial awareness (can you put bunny over lion), sequencing, counting , endless fun while they are learning and developing language. Not to mention the imaginative play as they carried them places or pick off the rabbit and dance with it when they hear a bunny song. People criticizing have no understanding of what a high level educational tool this is. 5+

My son loves this board. Some of the pieces he tries to pick off so you just have to watch them, but otherwise it is durable and comes with extra stickers to put in if they come off.
Grandson plays with this all the time. Mounted it in path between livingroom and kitchen so he can play while we're cooking, cleaning, etc. The pieces are big compared with others we've gotten, which are pretty small. He likes the big pieces better. Doesn't really play with the others much.
Can all fold into the original 8.5x11 ish sized pouch for travel.

My 2 year grandson loves it very much. He has learned a lot pointing at individual animals when asked. First thing he wants to see when he wakes up are the animals and sometimes takes them to bed with him. LOL.
Nice set overall but seriously, who makes a set of zoo animals and does not include a money?? Kind of a bummer when I finally tried using it for Storytime. 🐒🐵
My son loved this Christmas gift! It was well put together and the perfect size. It’s a nice change of pace from all the cars and battery operated things he typically likes. He asks to play ‘Zoo’ all the time!
This felt board is great - has grommets for hanging, is very sturdy and the pieces are BIG - many others are way too small for toddlers and these are a great size and very eye-catching. Highly recommend this product!
My grand babies love it! One takes them off and the other will put them back on 🤣
Keeps my toddler very busy. But the only down fall is the Velcro off the back of animals was easily removed by my toddler. But she is pretty destructive of things. So could be her determination. But other then that very fun and entertaining. Keeps her busy for a while. Love the premade rings on corner to be able to hang it.

My great great nephew (2) loves this. I placed on the kitchen wall low enough for his reach. He has been playing with the animals since hung on 1/3. Love it.
This is a great set of Celts for the price and I love the educational/storyboard potential. My only issue is that the Velcro strips on the back of the pieces keep coming off. They are basically tape strips that don't stick very well to the felt. I'd recommend gluing them on or putting in some quick stitches to affix the Velcro more securely.
Kids play with these for hours. Colors are bright and cheerful. We bought other kits as well and haven’t been disappointed.

The animals are so well done! They look great! They all have velcro on the back of then to be able to stick anywhere on the green felt. The green felt (not a board) did have creases in it, but they are going away with it stretched out. My daughter loves playing with it.
Purchased for my grandsons ages 1 1/2 and 3 for a joint Christmas gift...Of course I had to play with it first.. Recommend you buy
