Montessoridays™ Mama Hen Matching Eggs
🐔 Mama Hen has six little puzzles to look after.
The Montessoridays™ Mama Hen Matching Eggs set hides colour-and-shape matches inside six toy eggs. Open a shell, compare the halves and bring them together again, then return the completed eggs to their hen-shaped case.
🖐️ Begin with one egg apart.
Show how the two halves separate and let your child explore the inside. Offer the matching halves first before mixing more pieces. A clear early match helps them notice what makes the connection work.
🧩 Look at the shape as well as the colour.
As the challenge grows, compare several halves and choose which ones belong together. A piece may need turning before it joins. Let the child use the fit as information and try another choice without forcing the shell.
🐣 The eggs can join a little farm story.
A child might collect the eggs, count a few for Mama Hen or arrange them for an imaginary breakfast. The matching puzzle can pause for pretend play and return when another shell is ready to be rebuilt.
🧺 Close the wings when the eggs are home.
The plastic case stores all six eggs, with a lid and locking wings to keep the collection together. Intended for ages three and up, the set needs supervision with removable parts. Gather the halves, complete the eggs and let the hen carry the finished little family until next time.

My 3yo Granddaughters will enjoy these
I bought this for my 20-month old granddaughter and she loves it! She still needs help matching the pieces, but she has the general idea and will work to make all the matches. It's a good challenge for her!
I bought this toy for my 2 years niece. She loves her hen with eggs! She playing with great pleasure and interest. Plus this toy is educational. Love educational toys! Definitely recommend!
There is nothing not to like. It’s sturdy. The eggs hold together well and come apart easy enough. So many activities in one.
My baby like to play with it.
At first my 2 yr old grandson had to learn to match the shapes and colored egg halves to put them together. He learned so quickly and had fun doing it over and over and over…. Putting the eggs together and then in the chicken. This gives hours of play time, we made up games with the eggs and the chicken. Putting the shapes and colors together is good for their memory!! Sturdy toy looks just as pictured. See the photo included as sizing. I Highly recommend!
My daughter loves this and used play dough with it also.
Cute for little kids to play
I gave this to my grandchildren, ages 2 and 5. They enjoyed it, and it held their attention spans longer than I had expected. The chicken opens to hold all of the eggs inside of it, whether or not the eggs are put together.
We got the nesting chicken and eggs for our grandkids They just love it and are learning about colors and shapes from it Very fun!
My two year old loved it. And its compact, I thought it was going to be much bigger. But size was perfect and you can store the eggs inside its body. Win-win
She loves fitting the shapes together and putting them inside the chicken. Good quality
I purchased the Original Mama Hen Chicken Toy as an Easter Gift for my grandson who enjoyed playing with it right away.
Good hard plastic material, so the dont break easy. They go together easy, so its not too hard for toddlers to put them together.
Super cute, practical and my 1 year olds loves the shapes and putting the eggs together.
Myb1 year old niece plays with this every day.
Granddaughter, age two, loves her toy!

My little niece loved this toy. She's a year and a half and it kept her busy for three hours.
This was a perfect Easter gift for my grandson. He is 18 months and he loved the eggs and was able to put them together! Very well made too.
If you’re looking at this for Easter gifts id definitely spring for the hen with the eggs! It’s just too cute! They all fit inside and when you pull her apart they all come out! they have different shape options for not or girl. I haven’t gifted them to her but I guarantee that she’ll love them!
My granddaughter loves it. She likes playing with plastic eggs and fitting shapes into their intended place. This toy combines the two together, and easy to store eggs inside the chicken.
My 15 month Olds love it. They can't put the pieces together yet but they love trying and putting the eggs back in the hen
I bought this for my grandson, age 2.5 years old. He loves it! It teaches multiple concepts at the same time. Colors, shapes, animal identification, and is easy enough for him to play independently in addition to co play. Great toy for the price!
My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves this hen! She likes to have me hide the eggs. As she finds them she opens them up and tells me the shape and color! It's educational and she really enjoys playing different games with it! Would definitely recommend!
I had these mailed to my niece, so I did not see them. Her mother told me that Hazel absolutely loves them. She loves to open the chicken to discover the chickens inside, then crack open the eggs. This will nourish the curious child.
Very cute and my toddler loves to play with it and put the eggs in and out, and to look for colors and shapes.
All the eggs in this open up and have a different shape in them. My one year old grand daughter likes just getting the eggs in and out. My two year old grand son can sort the shapes, colors, and put eggs all back together then place inside the hen. The toy is well liked by both children independently. Highly recommend this toy and it does not have to many parts that the children are overwhelmed learning a new skill.
