Montessoridays™ Wooden Cylinder Sensory Kit
🪵 A small difference makes all the difference.
The Montessoridays™ Wooden Cylinder Sensory Kit offers four wooden blocks with cylinders of varying sizes. Lift a cylinder, look at its opening and try placing it back: this is a quiet, hands-on invitation to notice dimensions through an actual fit.
🖐️ Begin with fewer pieces.
Present one block and remove just a small selection of cylinders. Show a slow lift and placement, then allow your child to explore. Keeping the first task manageable makes it easier to notice the relationship between a cylinder and the space it belongs in.
👀 Look again when the fit is different.
A cylinder that does not sit as expected provides information the child can use. Compare widths or heights and try another opening without forcing the piece. Your role can be as small as waiting while they work out the next choice.
📏 Let the comparison come before the vocabulary.
Words such as wider, narrower, taller and shorter become more meaningful when your child is holding the objects being compared. Name a difference they are already exploring rather than asking them to recite a list of terms.
💛 The finished block can be their discovery.
As familiarity grows, introduce more cylinders or another block. The solid-wood set is intended for ages two and up and requires close supervision with removable pieces. Return the cylinders to their blocks after play, leaving an orderly activity ready for another day of noticing, testing and finding the fit.

Responsibly Made
Made in an award-winning factory, with sustainably sourced wood for our wooden toys and 100% recyclable packaging.
As a Montessori teacher, I used the larger set in my classroom. The materials were very expensive and usually not available to the public. Theses mini wooden cylinder block sets are wonderful for teaching very young children spacial relations and giving them the physical dexterity in preparation for writing.
Quality and my almost 3 year old Loves them
These knob cylinders are great quality, very sturdy and priced right. I would just say that if your kid is still putting things in their mouth, the smallest one can possibly pose as a choking hazard so just keep that in mind. Otherwise it’s great!
Love seeing my daughter (23 m) deep in thought trying to solve each one. Entertains her quite a while. High quality for price. Would recommend.
Get the job done ! Not as great as the full sized material but at a fraction of the cost not bad at all. My 3 year old loves it. So far the knobs are good quality and no glue is visible around the edges like other ones I've seen. Over all pretty good
My 18mo loves puzzles and he loves this. There are different difficulty levels and he's working his way up to the hardest one. Concentrates and tries so hard to fit the pieces in
All four blocks have different skills and has been so beneficial for my 20 month old!
As a former Montessori guide, I can say that it great quality for an affordable. The smaller size cylinder blocks are perfect for my in-home preschool!
