Montessoridays™ STEM Drill Building Kit · 237 Pieces

🔧 Click into a new building adventure.

The Montessoridays™ STEM Drill Building Kit turns a collection of screws, nuts, blocks and colourful buttons into a hands-on construction activity. Its toy drill and pegboard give children a place to fasten an idea together, then take it apart when the next design arrives.

⚙️ Tighten it. Reverse it. Try again.

The battery-powered drill has separate controls for loosening and tightening screws. Demonstrate the intended use slowly and help your child hold the parts steady. The tool belongs with the supplied play components, giving the fastening action a clear and supervised purpose.

📘 A picture can provide the first plan.

The manual includes forty-three design patterns to explore. Choose one that feels manageable and identify a few pieces together before beginning. Your child can work from the example or change direction as a different shape suggests itself.

🎨 Their own design deserves a turn.

Colours and building pieces offer room for patterns, pictures and constructions beyond the guide. Ask what they are making and let the explanation lead. If a connection needs changing, undoing it is a useful part of building rather than a reason to abandon the idea.

🧰 Close the workshop when the job is done.

The storage case keeps components together, with its cover serving as a play base. The plastic kit is marketed as 237 pieces and is intended for ages three and up. The drill requires two AA batteries, not included. Adult supervision is needed for the tool and small parts; gather everything after play so the next project starts with an organised kit.

Why Buy Montessori?

🔩 Fastening gives construction a clear process.

Children connect a chosen piece to a base through an observable action. Let your child choose a small design and decide where the first pieces belong. A screw has a visible job in holding that choice in place. Checking the result before adding more turns building into a sequence of decisions they can understand and explain.

👀 A reference picture invites comparison.

The child can look between the guide and their own arrangement. One hand steadies while the other works with the tool.

🌱 Designs can be revised.

Reversing a screw makes changing an idea part of the play. Returning components to the case completes the workshop routine. Compare a loose connection with the result after using the toy drill as directed. Reversing the action shows that the same fastening can be changed. Keep the tool with its intended construction pieces and let an adult guide handling throughout.
Why Kids Love It?

🔧 A toy drill makes the action feel special.

They can use the controls to fasten and undo. The drill gives their building plan a wonderfully busy job. Piece by piece, something from their imagination becomes a creation they can bring you over to see.

🎨 Lots of pieces invite another idea.

Colours and shapes can become their own design. The reference patterns offer a starting challenge.

💛 Their finished build has a story.

Ask the maker to explain what they created. A design becomes something they can fasten together, then change when a different idea arrives. Operating the appropriate control with guidance gives the construction a workshop feeling and a visible result to show.

Great toy

My 4 year old loves this toy and it keeps him busy longer than his other toys do. The different heads to the drill allow for him to grow with it. His 2 year old sister likes playing with the button pieces. The box serves as storage for the pieces and the top serves as the tool board as well. The only downfall is that the electric drill doesn't fit into the box. My husband cut out some of the plastic edges to fit it in. Overall, I would highly recommend this toy.

4 year old LOVED IT!

Gifted this to a four year old and he loved it. When he took off the wrapping paper he exclaimed: "This is my best gift EVER!" Well, it made me feel good even though he has a long way to good. LOL!
The parents loved it, too, and report he been really into it. They, also, like that it teaches STEM skills as well. Highly recommend for the budding engineer in your life (boy or girl).

Many ways to build, but easy to use

Our 3-year old niece started to play with this toy immediately after she opened it. We thought it would take her a while to learn how to use it, but she loved it all and understood it right away, especially the driver. She is still learning to build in three dimensions using the L brackets - she mostly likes drilling shapes onto the grid. I would recommend this toy for boys or girls ages 3-5.

Great activity for my girls.

My girls borrowed a building set with a drill and loved it. We decided to get a set of their own. They were so surprised and loved it! Downside, I wish there were more screws/bolts and nuts in each set. I have tried looking for an option to buy more spare parts to increase the creativity potential but so far I haven't found any. Looks like buying another set is the only way. We did buy one for each of the girls so they can combine their supplies to accomplish more. Each set is definitely only enough for one person to play with at a time.

For my little handy man.

I bought this for my 3yrs old son who loves to do things us grown ups do. He sees me fixing things and trys to do the same by using my tools, so I had to get him this. So far, he loves driving in the bolts with the toy drill and making patterns. If he's happy with it, I'm happy with it.
